Sunset Sessions FAQ
Ok I'm interested, how does it work?
We try to make your family portraits as stress free as possible. All you have to do is call and set up an appointment. Same day bookings are ok!! Once the appointment is set we encourage you to come to one of our convenient studio locations, located right on the beach. Once you arrive your photographer will take your group to the beach for your photo shoot. Sessions usually last between twenty minutes to an hour and are available to view the very same night. All of our products are available for pick up within 24 hours but can be mailed first class if time does not allow pick up.
So, how much does it cost?
As always Gulf Coast Photo offers No Sitting Fee, No Obligation, Ever. The only thing you pay for is the actual products you want. We offer every professional product you could imagine from framed and mounted posters, to canvass gallery wraps, holiday cards, novelty products, photo cd's with the copyright release, etc. etc. All of these products can be purchased a la carte or in packages. All of our packages offer multiple poses (absolutely no restrictions) and unlimited free retouching and enhancements. Basic packages start around $150 and go up from there. Why don't you charge a sitting fee, and how can you have such competitive prices?
First, we choose not to charge a sitting fee because there is no need to. All our photographers are experienced professionals, especially in beach photography, so we know our photos will turn out amazing. It is our goal to provide a premium photography service at a reasonable and affordable price to as many families and groups as possible. Through this process we hope to provide them with a valuable and timeless memory, and help create a tradition for years to come.
Second, our pricing is so reasonable and competitive because many photographers don't process their own prints. Majority of the photographers in this area take the pictures, send them to be printed by a lab, have them framed by a framer, then shipped to the customer. Since we are a full service photo lab we are able to cut out the "middlemen" described above. We process, print, and frame all orders locally so we save money and so do you! This also allows us to guarantee the fastest turnaround time in the area!
How many people can you fit in one picture?
We can fit as many as you bring!! There is no maximum amount per shot. We are proficient in handling large families, sports teams, family reunions, and much much more. Feel free to bring your pets along as well!
What do we do if it rains?
We will usually wait to see if it stops raining within an hour of your scheduled time? Majority of the time it will. Although, if the rain persists, your photographer will contact you throughout the evening with updates and times to reschedule.
Our group has activities planned every evening. Do you offer morning appointments as well?
Yes. We will do everything in our power to accommodate your needs. Keep in mind though the best time for lighting is when the sun is just setting or just rising. However, we can still produce high quality professional portraits anytime during the day that will best accommodate your group.
Where will the pictures be taken?
Depending on the scenery you are looking for we have multiple locations picked out. The easiest and most convenient location is at one of our studios. They are strategically located on the beach where we have access to dunes, jetties, and the most beautiful sunsets over the water. Also, it is best to come to us because the photos are available to view immediately after they are taken. However, we do realize that it may be impossible to round up some of those large groups out there. In these cases we can send a photographer out to your location.
